Kathy Manning has a broad range of experience in the design, funding, and administration of employee benefits programs. Her clients have included Fortune 100 organizations, large and intermediate-sized privately held corporations, tax exempt organizations and hospital systems, public sector retirement systems and organizations of all sizes. She received a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Illinois and has studied at the University of Chicago Business School. In describing how MWM Consulting Group works with its clients, Ms. Manning explains, “With our breadth of experience, we can provide a complete business perspective to our clients, informing and advising them within the context of their ultimate corporate strategies and objectives. Bernard E. Hartt, Consulting Actuary

For more than 30 years, Bernie Hartt has been creating benefit programs for major U.S. corporations, professional and trade associations, life and health insurance companies, health maintenance organizations, not-for-profit organizations, and public retirement systems. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Actuarial Science and began work in the insurance industry, directing group life, health, and disability pricing activities. Mr. Hartt believes “it is important to give clients a thorough understanding of the impact of the plans they create. Exploring alternatives and discussing broader business issues helps clients arrive at a benefits program that will be good for the sponsor, as well as the participants.”


Joseph Zienty, Consulting Actuary

For nearly two decades, Joe Zienty has focused his comprehensive experience as a consultant on the actuarial and administrative issues of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans. In working with clients, he “listens carefully to the goals of the employer and works with them to implement a program that has been streamlined for maximum effectiveness. Both communication and education are critical components of defining and understanding employee benefits programs, especially retirement plans.” Mr. Zienty earned his B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Illinois.”


Daniel Colby, Consulting Actuary

Dan Colby specializes in working on financial and actuarial modeling and in developing technology-enhanced plan administration. His experience includes health and retirement actuarial work for both insurance companies and consulting firms. Recognizing the importance of efficient plan administration and management, Mr. Colby explains, "I try to look at the technological aspects, as well as the basic plan design. Employees need to be able to easily understand their retirement benefits and if I can find a way to simplify and streamline the technology to make that happen, then I 've done my job. " Mr. Colby earned a B.S. in Actuarial Science from the University of Illinois. ”


Drew Dubeck, Senior Consultant

Drew Dubeck has worked for a number of major U.S. corporations, implementing, converting, and processing their 401(k), profit sharing, ESOP, and GESOP plans. With his B.S. in Mathematics from Loyola University of Chicago and more than 20 years experience, Mr. Dubeck is able to provide a variety of services for administering defined contribution plans, including compliance testing, government reporting, and developing written documentation. His consulting philosophy is "to approach each client's needs individually. Every situation involves different goals, different strategies, and different business considerations. The services I provide are completely personalized for each client." ”


Cathy Anderson, Senior Consultant

Cathy Anderson has more than 15 years experience in preparing actuarial valuations and reports; post-retirement medical and life valuations; preparation of IRS Form 5500 and required schedules; FASB 87 and 132 calculations; and pension benefit calculations. She explains, “Providing clients with technical expertise through attention to detail and the capability to handle all employee benefit situations is important to the administration of our plans.” Ms. Anderson earned a B. S. in Mathematics from Michigan Technological University.
